Amanda + Chris | Monument Ave.
Working with Amanda & Chris was such a treat, not only was it a pretty fun session but we walked away with beautiful photos. During the session, as I’ll sometimes do I asked them to tell me why the other would make the best husband or wife. Something struck me about what Amanda said, “I know I’m safe with him”.
I often try to figure out how each couple “loves” one another. And it hit me, he is her protector, she said yes to him because she knows that no matter what happens he will always be there for her, with love, every step of the way. Moreover, I think C hris asked Amanda to spend the rest of her life with him because he had found someone worth protecting. Someone so full of happiness and positivity that he falls in love with her a little more each day. Some people get married because it is the “next step” in being an adult, but not these two. What I see is that they have chosen each other to take this journey with. Regardless if they find themselves on the easy path or the hard, what I see is a couple devoted to loving one another every step of the way.
“Chris proposed on April 29, 2016. He told me we were getting away for an early birthday celebration since my birthday is in May. Our first stop was at King Family where we did a tasting and picked up a couple bottles of wine. After that, we drove to a little artsy cottage that Chris found on Air BnB. While I was downstairs, Chris opened a bottle of wine, poured two glasses, and put the ring box out on a table. When I came back upstairs he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was perfect.”
