It was an elegant affair from start to finish, everything about this Jefferson Hotel wedding had a touch of sophistication to it and Kate’s dress was simply stunning!
I feel like I didn’t really have insight into this couple until the wedding day, but that day they opened up a part of themselves to us and trusted us to photograph some amazing, beautiful, tear-jerking moments. Which is the highest honor that I feel a photographer can receive, trust to document those moments.
They met at the University of Notre Dame and these two immediately hit it off, and following their first date at a super collider (how epic is that) Kate immediately called her sister to tell her that she had met someone very special. Not long after at Ben’s graduation party. Kate surprised Ben by flying his brother in from California and Ben surprised Kate by proposing!
Both Kate and Ben have a family that would do anything for the two of them, and you can see it in the way Kate’s father looks at her, the way Ben’s mother holds the face of what must still fee like her little boy, or the way Kate’s sister talks about their favorite sound they had as children (the sound of each other falling to sleep together at night). I mean just wow, the love shared by these two, their family, and their friends is something that everyone hopes for.
This wedding was probably the perfect way to begin our 2016 wedding season. Thank you guys for letting be a part of this experience with you!
