It was a beautiful spring day, the sun was out and there was not a cloud in the sky. A far cry from the weeks of rain that preceded this one. And walking out into the beautiful day you could tell that it was going to be a good one.
They met at Randolph-Macon college in at an art class, when neither of them were artistically inclined. It was odd that they had never met, due to the fact that had so many mutual friends (she was a cheerleader and he was on the football team). I guess you could say Randolph-Macon brought them together since it was the course requirement that put them both in that class. Through those Wednesday night classes, they would sit together on a bench right outside of the art building, slowly getting to know each other and falling in love.
Katie thought Chris was very sweet, kind, and a bit goofy. She called one of her best friends the next day after meeting him to say how she just met this football player who was “so cute”, little did she know that this would be her future husband. She is the type of girl who is optimistically happy and outgoing. She welcomes in everyone she meets, and always brightens their day. Chris is completely selfless and always puts others before him, a true gentleman if you will. He is the type of guy that thinks of the little things, like wearing his grandfather’s cufflinks for his grandmother so they have a part of him present that day. Together these two are such a great couple, and just being with them is enough to make your day better (just try to spend time with them and not leave smiling ear to ear or laughing uncontrollably). I have to say I had been looking forward to this wedding for a while and it did not disappoint, the guests, family, and these two were all so amazing. Thank you Katie and Chris for letting me photograph your wedding, it was such an honor!
